  • Beddington Zero Energy Development (www.bioregional.com) – large scale eco-development in London
  • Bithrir Mawr (www.brithdirmawr.co.uk) is a farm of 165 acres in Pembrokeshire, West Wales, UK that houses an intentional community of 20 people working towards sustainability, simplicity and spirit, and wishing to share their aim with others.
  • Brighton Earthship (www.lowcarbon.co.uk) – Building made using waste car tyres!
  • Caer Llan Berm House (www.caerllan.co.uk) – Large earth-covered building in Wales.
  • The David Wilson Millennium Eco-Energy House (www.nottingham.ac.uk/sbe/) – Based in the grounds of the University of Nottingham, this four bedroom house is used by researchers to test new environmental building technologies.
  • EcoDIY (www.ecodiy.org) - follow the progress of applying energy and water saving ideas to a house in Clacton-on-sea in Essex.
  • Eco House Agent (www.ecohouseagent.com) - aims to show people being environmentally friendly doesn't have to cost the earth - includes a number od case studies.
  • Green Moves (www.greenmoves.com) is a website dedicated to advertising homes for sale that are more energy efficient than conventional homes. These homes could also be called environmentally friendly homes or green homes.
  • Hill Holt Wood (www.hillholtwood.com) - Local sustainable woodland management scheme with planning for low impact buildings.
  • Long Sutton Work/Life Project (www.longsuttonworklifeproject.co.uk) - "a benchmark for environmentally responsible development and to demonstrate the values implicit in a low carbon work and lifestyle."
  • Millennium Green (www.gustohomes.com) – Private commercial development of homes in Nottinghamshire built to very high environmental standards.
  • Leicester Eco-house (http://www.environ.org.uk/~environ/ecohouse/index.php) – An environmental showhome demonstrating the environmental choices we can make in our homes and lifestyles.
  • Nottingham Eco House (http://www.msarch.co.uk/ecohome/) Good example of how to renovate an older house to a high environmental standard.
  • South West Eco Homes (www.swecohomes.co.uk). Their first development is at Great Bow Yard in Langport, Somerset. This is a small mixed-use development including: 12 new houses for sale, restoration of an old warehouse to create a centre for creative industries, and re-creation of the wharf which once formed the port of Langport.
  • The Sustainable Developer Guide for Nottinghamshire (www.sdg-nottinghamshire.org.uk) is intended as a useful resource for anyone involved in the development process. Its main focus is on planning and design, but it also offers advice about the construction and maintenance of buildings and considers how the wider impacts of development can be managed – lots of case studies! (HHP was heavily involved in developing the content for the Guide).
  • The Underground House (www.theundergroundhouse.org.uk) – Best known for its appearance on Grand Designs – lot of similarities in look to HHP.
  • The Yellow House (http://theyellowhouse.org.uk/) - A very standard 1930's mid terrace ex-council house, built of concrete blocks. It needed a full renovation and the occupants decided to use the opportunity to prove that it is possible to turn an ordinary house into a very attractive eco-house, which is more comfortable and more sustainable. 
  • UK Earth Centre Network (www.earthcentrenetwork.org.uk) - This website is the first stage of the UK Earth Centre Network's development, providing an opportunity for people to find out where their local Earth Centres are and enabling Centres themselves to network more effectively.
  • York Environmental Centre (www.stnicksfields.org.uk) is at the heart of the drive to achieve a sustainable city. The futuristic shaped building is made out of sustainable materials; it produces its own energy through a wind turbine, solar panels and photovoltaic cells; any surplus electricity can be sold onto the grid.
