Cycling in combination with rail travel

Midland Mainline
• Advance reservation essential
• Cycles are carried for free of charge
• To avoid delays and inconvenience during train boarding, customers should ask station staff where to wait on the platform.
• Cycles will be carried on off peak Turbostar services, subject to space, and cannot be booked in advance.

• Cycles carried free on most services.
• This service should be reserved in advance when the ticket is booked.

Central Trains
• Carried free of charge on most services
• Advance reservations (£1 for up to two cycles) are required on long distance trains. Further information is available at stations and from the Customer relations manager.

Virgin Trains
• All customers travelling with bikes must have a reservation to travel 
• There is no charge for this reservation. The exception to this rule is for season ticket holders – they do Not require a reservation however space on the train  will be subject to availability and is not guaranteed.
