Introductory Tours

These tours provide a good general introduction to the key sustainable principles of the Hockerton Housing Project, but not in great detail and without getting too technical.

The tour is ideal for:
• University undergraduate courses
• Environmental organisations
• Other organisations with an interest in environmental issues
• People seeking a more sustainable personal lifestyle

It is not meant to be for building professionals, where a technical tour  or master class would be more appropriate.

The tour runs for approximately for 3 hours.

We run an introductory tour typically once a month on a Saturday that you can book onto yourself via this website – go to Events calendar to check forthcoming dates (and number of available places) from where you can go on to make a reservation. On these Saturday tours there is more emphasis on lifestyle issues and what actions people can take in their personal lives to reduce their environmental impact.

You can also customize your own visit to include an introductory tour with other activities & lunch or as a package along when hiring HHP as a venue for a meeting.
