Tours are always led by a resident Project member and normally last between two and four hours.
Tours cover subjects such as: sustainable building design, renewable energy systems, autonomous water services, sustainable transport, self-sufficiency and issues involving living and working together.
Specifically all Guided Tours normally include:
• Tour of the project site highlighting renewable energy systems (wind & solar), autonomous water systems, and key elements of landscaping
• Tour of one of the project members homes highlighting key environmental features, and ultra low energy building design
• AV presentation in our new Sustainable Resource Centre, showing history of the development and explanation of how homes work
• Small exhibition and light refreshments.
The Sustainable Resource Centre is itself an innovative sustainable building with zero-heating and meeting zero CO2 and autonomous standards.
