What’s included in a tour

Tours are always led by a resident Project member and normally last between two and four hours.

Tours cover subjects such as: sustainable building design, renewable energy systems, autonomous water services, sustainable transport, self-sufficiency and issues involving living and working together.

Specifically all Guided Tours normally include:
Tour of the project site highlighting renewable energy systems (wind & solar), autonomous water systems, and key elements of landscaping
Tour of one of the project members homes highlighting key environmental features, and ultra low energy building design
AV presentation in our new Sustainable Resource Centre, showing history of the development and explanation of how homes work
Small exhibition and light refreshments.

The Sustainable Resource Centre is itself an innovative sustainable building with zero-heating and meeting zero CO2 and autonomous standards.
