Are you looking for a unique setting for a meeting, seminar, workshop, conference or team ‘away day’? It is available for use by community groups, businesses, organisations and societies, and makes a great alternative venue for events or product launches.
The setting of Hockerton Housing Project is certain to inspire attendees. As well as the tranquil backdrop of the environmental houses & wildlife ponds, you will be using one of the most energy efficient buildings in the UK – The Sustainable Resource Centre (SRC) meets the most challenging eco-standards being zero-heated, zero-C02, & autonomous. Other features include a green roof, solar hot water system, wind-generated electricity, compost toilets, interpretation exhibits about HHP and recycled furniture. You don't have to have green credentials to use it, but the venue is sure to influence and enlighten you!
The SRC is situated in Nottinghamshire only 10 minutes from Newark or Mansfield, just off the A617 and only two miles from the attractive market town of Southwell. Slightly further afield we are roughly equidistant between Nottingham & Lincoln, about 30 minutes from either by car. However we would encourage visitors to consider public transport options, group travel (e.g minibus or coach), or at least car-sharing (see travel to HHP for further details on these options).
